Cette carte de vœux, en forme de ticket de manège, nous invite à entamer joyeusement un nouveau cycle annuel. Le soin apporté à sa fabrication, son caractère d’objet à la fois populaire et raffiné est un clin d’œil espiègle à la tradition des Arts Décoratifs. Sa dimension plastique (au sens propre!) nous invite à la conserver, comme un objet métaphorique. Les chiffres, dans leur dessin rendent un hommage contemporain aux métiers d’art valorisés par l’institution (mosaïque, marqueterie, tissage…).

This greetings card, made to look like a fairground token, invites us to enter joyously into a new year. The care with which it is made and its character as an object that is both popular and elegant represent a cheeky nod to the tradition of Decorative Arts. Its plasticity (literally!) encourages us to keep it, like a metaphorical object. The design of the numbers is a contemporary homage to the types of applied arts collected by the museum (mosaic, marquetry, woven fabrics…).
